A funny thing happened on the way to …..

Ok. I am two days behind. There is a good reason. First two days ago I left my phone in our van. Twenty four hours without a phone caused a major crisis for me. Second the princess came down with a respiratory infection. What do we do without the tour mom!

So let me catch up.

Two days ago was wine tasting. First was the van and the loading process.

Getting ready!

Our first stop was Yarra Yering. Personally this was my favorite.

The sign
The cab vineyard
Selecting your seat
If you like red wine, this is the place. yes the glass on the right is empty.

Then it was on to Medhurst.

The wine was getting to my head. It was 1030 am!
The crew.
He knew his stuff.
I need to get one of these aerators.

Then it was on to lunch.

Interesting name.
Our menu.
Ready to strap on the feedbags and chow down.

After lunch, we were running late so we had one more stop.

Oakridge.

Can we do one more?
This sign was important. However it does not apply to local kangaroos.
Yes. They violated the rule.
We had to stand and taste. This shortened our stay. Nice place but the kangaroos were the hit.

That was the first day. The second day was the boys playing golf.

Yes. That is us ready to attack the links. It was a beautiful course. Its name was the Victoria Golf Club. It was next to Royal Melbourne where they play the Aussie Open. Over 17,000 steps we walked since no buggy’s.

My caddy! He could read the greens like no one else. Helped me to a 39 on the back.
The clubhouse. Very special place.

Then we saw this.

Special shot

A grandfather and his grandson playing a few holes before dusk. For all of us this was what golf is all about. Sharing the day with your mates.

The Princess is recovering. Not with us yet but hopefully in a few days.

With that I am now up to date and will stay current.

This is a special place.
